Outpatient Diabetes and Nutrition Center
Diabetes Education
The Bariatric and Diabetes Health Center provides education and support to help people with diabetes manage their condition and lead happy, healthy lives.
Our staff of nurses and dietitians teaches people how to manage diabetes on their own. In addition to providing general diabetes information, we offer individualized instruction on a variety of topics, including:
- Blood sugar control.
- Healthful diet.
- Home blood-glucose monitoring.
- Safe medication use.
- Insulin injections.
- Insulin pump therapy.
Our staff works with your physician to make sure you receive the best possible education and care for your disease. We'll meet with you regularly after your initial visit to make sure your diabetes management techniques are meeting your needs.
We also offer monthly support groups for patients with diabetes. Groups meet the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the center. We're located at:
