Neonatal Intensive Care
When a baby has special needs, our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit pairs advanced technology and a team of health care experts in order to meet those needs. Since 1972, CHRISTUS Schumpert’s NICU has provided special care to newborn infants requiring prompt and efficient treatment in the Ark-La-Tex area. The NICU staff consists of our expert neonatologists, a team of specially-trained registered nurses and respiratory therapists and, in addition to pastoral care, a full-time social worker to assist you with any psychosocial concerns or financial situations that may arise.
