Sports Medicine
The CHRISTUS Schumpert Sports Medicine Program offers a full range of services designed to quickly return recreational, amateur and professional athletes to their sport of choice.
The primary focus of our Sports Medicine Program is preventing injuries. But we also provide fast, expert treatment in case of an injury.
The Sports Medicine staff includes primary care physicians, orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists and nurses.
Our hospital-based program provides athletes with quick and easy access to a broad range of services, including:
- Laboratory testing.
- Radiology services, including x-ray, computerized tomography scans and magnetic resonance imaging.
- Emergency surgery.
- Free quarterly sports physicals for schools affiliated with our program.
